ADAM J. EDELSTEIN
Matrimonial law is a tough business. Having practiced for more than 25 years, and learned from my father who has been in this business for more than 40, I learned many “little secrets,” which many divorce lawyers won’t tell clients; that most of the cases settle at some point when results become somewhat predictable. I’ve chosen to specialize in divorce because saving my clients needless aggravation and wasted attorneys’ fees is rewarding, and I’ve seen enough cases to get to the “end game” sooner than most.
Information is your most important asset during a dispute. I assist my clients in weighing the costs and the benefits, encouraging them to be reasonable and make every effort to settle the case if it’s worth it to avoid unnecessary pain and stress. The best tool one can use to get what they want is a skilled and dogged negotiator who can get it done before it gets to be a costly, wasteful and aggravating mess. When that doesn’t make sense, if one side is being unreasonable and agreements cannot be made, I fight to the bitter end, working tirelessly to achieve the best results for my clients.
